Amidst confusion in Rivers State, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Joseph Johnson, has officially verified the authenticity of Governor Siminialayi Fubara’s signature on the resolution document, which was unveiled on Monday. Following a crucial meeting involving President Bola Tinubu and the concerned parties in Rivers State’s political crisis, Johnson, in an interview on Channels TV, expressed confidence that the governor would faithfully implement the agreed-upon resolutions in the pursuit of lasting peace.

“We have moved beyond questioning the signature. The Bible teaches us to pursue peace with all men at all costs,” Johnson proclaimed, emphasizing Governor Fubara’s unwavering commitment to following established procedures. He further assured, “If His Excellency, the President, has intervened, Governor Fubara is a man of integrity who will remain true to his word.”

In a show of intent, Johnson announced his plan to share several approvals granted by the governor within the upcoming hours, hinting at Governor Fubara’s unwavering dedication to the cause of peace. Addressing any misconceptions about the governor’s actions during Monday’s meeting, Johnson emphasized that the governor’s agreement did not signify weakness but rather demonstrated his resolute determination to seek a peaceful resolution.
