A quality throng of legal big wigs, diverse professionals and society personages recently stormed the sea-side town of Abonnema, Rivers state, in honour of high flying Port Harcourt lawyer, Abiye Toks Telema Marcus – Georgewill who was honoured with a chieftaincy title.
Paternally he is a great grand child of Opuda Otaji of Abonnema & maternally a grand child of Da Okoma Tom-George of Buguma.
In Kalabari land he can easily be said to be born into royalty.
On September 30th, 2023, he was installed on his personal stool as Alabo Abiye Telema Marcus – Georgewill – a War Canoe House Chief in the Opuda Otaji (Georgewill) War Canoe Group Of Chieftaincy Houses by HRM, King Dr (Barr.) D.G Bob-Manuel II, KSC, JP, DSSRS Owukori (IX), Amayanabo and Paramount Ruler of Abonnema.
The ceremony was very colourful and glamourous and had all the trappings of a Kalabari Chieftaincy installation and showcased the rich and noble culture of the Kalabari people.
The installation took place in the Opuda Otaji (Georgewill) Memorial Hall, Abonnema, in Akuku-Toru LGA, Rivers State.
He was presented to the King and the Abonnema Divisional Council Of Traditional Rulers And Chiefs for installation by Opuda

The list of personalities present from far and wide was a portrayal of the esteem which the new chief enjoys.
Proudly by his side was his beautiful wife, Alabota Clara Temeoku Abiye Georgewill and two daughters – Thelma Onari Georgewill (Currently studying for her Barr part two exams at the Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos & Vanessa Ibingo Georgewill (A masters degree student in Architecture at the Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.
