In an unexpected move, the Kano State Police Command has launched an initiative to train and convert 50 hardened criminals into Police Constables.
The primary objective behind this endeavor is to use these reformed individuals as assets to counteract the activities of their former criminal associates who continue to engage in illicit activities.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, addressed the 50 selected reformed individuals hailing from different areas of Kano State after they completed a two-month training program to become members of the Nigeria Police Special Constabulary.
CP Gumel emphasized the significance of their decision to reform and expressed appreciation for their commitment to maintaining peace in the state.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to combat criminal activities in Kano State and engage with individuals who have previously been involved in unlawful actions in order to encourage positive change and reduce criminality.
